Regional introduction
Located in the northwestern state of Minas Gerais, Cerrado Mineiro encompasses 55 municipalities located in Triângulo, Alto Paranaíba and Noroeste de Minas, and is a major agricultural hub in Brazil. The local coffee plantations are located at an altitude of 800-1,300 meters above sea level, and the climate with four distinct seasons makes the beans less affected by humidity during the winter harvest. Cerrado Mineiro won the Designation of Origin protection in 2013 and was the first coffee region in the country to receive this recognition; Coupled with the fact that most of the local farmers hold degrees in agricultural management and business management, Cerrado Mineiro’s coffee beans can be effectively promoted to the world, becoming a world-renowned producer of high-quality coffee.
Processing introduction
Farmers use aqueducts to sort the cherries according to their ripeness, while the ripe cherries are transferred to a sun-dried base or mesh bed to air dry until completely dry; During the process, the gum layer of sugar in the fruit is absorbed by the beans, giving the beans a natural sweetness and original sun-dried flavor. Producers also use shakers, sieves and laser sorters to sort the green coffee beans again according to their density and color before packaging for export, so that every green bean is flawless.
Label design
The squirrel is used as the theme in the packaging design: as we all know, the squirrel is an animal that feeds on fruits, which is exactly in line with the hazelnut flavor of this coffee bean. The packaging is dominated by yellow, which also echoes the other flavor of coffee beans: honey. I hope that through these two elements, you can enjoy the sweet flavor of the coffee beans visually or tastefully.
