Estate Introduction

Finca is Spanish, meaning estate. Finca San Carlos is the San Carlos estate. San Carlos estate is located in the Quindío Department, which is one of the four provinces in the ‘Colombian Coffee Triangle’️ (Triángulo del Café), the other three provinces being Caldas Department, Risaralda Department, and Tolima Department.

Colombian coffee is mostly produced in the Colombian Coffee Triangle , where the Quindio province is known for producing high-quality coffee beans and diverse agriculture . Near San Carlos Estate, various other crops are also grown—of significant quantity of plants . In order to provide good natural resources for different processing methods, estate owners Felipe and Carlos are dedicated to researching various processing techniques!

Processing introduction

This time the initial idea was: “What if we ferment fruits and coffee together, will it create a different taste in coffee?” After several batches of experiments , it was found that the method of fermenting fruits and coffee cherries is feasible and will produce different fruity aromas .

However, if processed using traditional anaerobic methods , there would be even more uncertainty, increasing the difficulty of production! In order to remove this kind of uncertainty, the estate decided to use the carbon dioxide immersion fermentation method! Extending the overall fermentation time

First, coffee cherries ☕ are fermented with fresh grapes and red wine yeast in barrels for 72 hours of carbon dioxide immersion. After removing the mucilage, they are sun-dried under conditions below 35 degrees ☀️. This batch of green coffee beans with muscat grape flavor is then developed!

Label design

Interstellar Echoes tells a story of interstellar encounters and farewells

The designer continues the consistent style, with the entire label featuring a special grape drink! Other fruit flavors are hidden in the specialty drink to bring out the extremely harmonious taste of the coffee beans this time!

Colors are also adjusted according to the flavor, using a warmer tone with a purple feel .

*However, this time there will still be limited edition collectible cards for everyone, to record their own recipes.
